Our recent mission trip to Bangkok was an enriching experience. It provided our delegation with in-depth insights into Thailand’s dynamic FinTech ecosystem.

We began our journey with a visit to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand, where we received a detailed briefing on the regulatory landscape surrounding digital assets. This was followed by exploring investment opportunities at the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). At BOI, we learned about ongoing efforts to enhance Thailand’s digital ecosystem and boost the country’s digital readiness through various policy improvements.

The day continued with an engaging session at the Digital Economy Promotion Agency. Here, we delved into initiatives designed to foster the expansion of Thailand’s digital economy, uncovering strategies to support growth in this vibrant sector.

On the second day, our delegation visited True Digital Group, where we gained insights into Thailand’s digital space’s latest trends and innovations. We then explored the Bank of Thailand’s approach to fostering financial inclusion and leveraging technology for economic advancement. At KASIKORNBANK, we learned about their support for startups and their criteria for businesses seeking funding.

Our final day featured visits to Krungsri Finnovate, JTJB International Lawyers, and the Thai FinTech Association. At Krungsri Finnovate, we discussed their investment philosophy and support for startups. JTJB provided detailed information on the regulatory framework for setting up businesses in Thailand, including new regulations and available incentives. The trip concluded with a lively networking event at the Thai FinTech Association, where Topp Jirayut Srupsrisopa™ from Bitkub shared insights into Thailand’s financial and economic landscape.
