Today, we signed an MoU with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) to launch Project Lorikeet — a programme that supports Singaporean FinTechs’ expansion into Australia. 

This marks a major milestone in our efforts to support the expansion and growth of fintechs in Singapore by providing them with the right resources and connecting them with strong partners.

We have seen strong interest from Singapore fintechs to enter the Australian market, and this programme will provide growth-stage fintechs with the resources they need to set up their presence there at no cost. For instance, SFA will help to find the right candidates, and source for suitable partners to support our participants – Amazon Web Services (AWS) and HSBC are already on board! We’ll also identify the needs of the participants and actively introduce them to suitable leads and partners in Australia. 

Enterprise Singapore will also be offering grants through MRA (market readiness assistance) for qualified participants’ on-shore activities such as participating in trade shows.

As Singapore continues to establish itself as a global fintech hub, partnerships like this are crucial for our members to expand their opportunities beyond borders.
