Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development, and Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore will remain as Patron of the Singapore FinTech Association
Singapore, 24 August 2026 – The Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) today announced the appointment of four new members to its Strategic Advisory Council (SAC) for a fresh two year term from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2028. They succeed the four inaugural members appointed when the Council was formed in 2024.

Established in 2024, the SAC is a group of senior leaders in public and private organisations who provide independent, forward-looking guidance on the key trends, opportunities and national priorities shaping the future of financial services and fintech in Singapore and the region. The Council also helps strengthen connectivity between the industry and government and identifies opportunities for SFA and the fintech community to collaborate across the ecosystem.
As Singapore’s fintech sector continues to evolve amid rapid developments in artificial intelligence, digital assets and financial infrastructure, the incoming members will provide strategic guidance on:
The outgoing members are Ms Ong Chen Hui, Assistant Chief Executive, IMDA; Mr Soh Leng Wan, formerly Assistant Managing Director, Enterprise Singapore; Mr Neil Parekh, former partner at Tikehau Capital and former Nominated Member of Parliament; and Mr Sanjoy Sen, Managing Director and Group Head, Consumer Banking Group, DBS.
Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development, and Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, continues in his role as Patron of SFA. As Patron, he supports SFA’s efforts to drive the long-term strategy and growth of Singapore’s fintech sector, and champions the adoption of fintech in Singapore and the region.
