Course Syllabus

  • Introduction to FinTech (8 hours)

    Gain insights to the financial technology revolution and disruption. Understand the innovation and opportunities therein.

    Learning outcomes:

    Understand the current state of various thematic areas in the FinTech ecosystem of banking, insurance, asset and wealth management and financial infrastructure

    Identify trends and opportunities shaping the FinTech ecosystem 

    Explore how trends in FinTech innovation might influence the short and longterm futures of various industries

  • Design Thinking in Financial Services (8 hours)

    Discover and adopt human-centred design thinking approach

    Learning outcomes:

    Gain awareness of how design thinking can be applied in a wide range of contexts

    Investigate and think creatively around design problems and opportunities in financial services

    Use design thinking to bring new/existing ventures successfully to market

  • Introduction to Blockchain & Cryptocurrencies (4 hours)

    Explore the world of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, understand their potential impact to the financial services industry.

    Learning outcomes:

    Learn the fundamentals and essentials of blockchain and cryptocurrencies

    Experience how these technologies work through a hands-on session of receiving, transferring, buying and selling of cryptocurrencies

About FinTech Foundation Programme

The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), the Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), the Banking & Financial Services Union (BFSU) and the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) have jointly created the 20 hours FinTech Foundation Programme (FFP). Through this initiative, we are dedicated in introduce junior officers and PMEs into the exciting world of FinTech leaders in. We are committed to provide continuous engagements, career development platforms and networking opportunities for FFP participants.

The FFP features a stellar line-up of renowned industry practitioners, C-suite leaders and entrepreneurs from locally and internationally grown organisations, to train over 500 FinTech enthusiats.

Networking opportunities and sharing of experiences by our speakers will also be presented to all participants at every session. The FFP endeavours to equip FinTech executives with the right set of skills required to succeed in the workplace while additionally providing opportunities to expand their network by connecting with fellow practitioners, leaders and entrepreneurs.
